About The Position

Hansen Orthodontics is seeking a passionate and skilled Full-Time Clinical Assistant to enhance their leading orthodontic practice. The role involves delivering exceptional patient care, preparing patients for examinations and treatments, taking and developing x-rays, capturing orthodontic facial photos, preparing trays for procedures, sterilizing instruments, maintaining clean treatment rooms, and assisting chair-side. The position also includes pouring and trimming impression casts and adhering to safety protocols. The team serves patients across Blacksburg, Salem, and Roanoke.

Requirements

Previous dental or orthodontic assisting experience
X‑ray certification (per state requirements)
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Ability to work in Blacksburg, Salem, and/or Roanoke locations as needed
X-Ray Certification

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional care to our patients, prioritizing their comfort and health.
Prepare patients for examination and treatment with meticulous care.
Take and develop x-rays to ensure top-quality diagnostic imagery.
Capture quality orthodontic facial photos for treatment planning.
Prepare trays for orthodontic procedures with precision.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Keep chairs and treatment rooms immaculate, adhering to COVID-19 requirements.
Show eagerness to learn or apply your experience in orthodontic chair-side assisting.
Pour and trim impression casts for appliances with accuracy.
Adhere to safety protocols by wearing the proper protective gear.
