About The Position

As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will assist the Orthodontist with patients to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. You will perform clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist. This includes preparing the patient operatory and equipment, and assisting the doctor during examination and orthodontic treatment. A key part of this role is to communicate clearly and calmly the treatment needs to parents and patients, utilizing the prescribed treatment plan. You will also be responsible for recognizing and identifying prior authorization requirements, ensuring signed consent forms are obtained, and maintaining awareness of the comfort and safety needs of patients. Providing clear and concise documentation of all treatment rendered using electronic and paper dental records and forms is essential. General housekeeping and restocking as needed will also be part of your duties. Travel between the Camdenton and Waynesville clinics will be required. The overall goal is to serve and provide superior support to doctors and to be an example of respect and caring for our customers and office personnel.

Requirements

  • Dental assisting background is helpful but not mandatory
  • Orthodontic assisting experience extremely helpful.
  • Familiarity with orthodontic appliances welcome.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
