About The Position

Imagix Dental is looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to support our office in Suwanee, GA and Norcross, GA. This role involves assisting our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team, providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. The position supports the mission of providing excellent dental care in the community and helping to create more smiles and memorable experiences. This is a role within a team that believes in teamwork and truly cares about their patients. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

Requirements

2 years or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - Required
X-Ray certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
