About The Position

Omaha Orthodontics is expanding its team and seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Orthodontic Assistant to support its four experienced orthodontists. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and possess dental field experience. While orthodontic experience is beneficial, it is not a mandatory requirement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and the orthodontic team
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Uphold the company culture, core values, and additional responsibilities as defined in the Handbook

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program preferred
• 1–2 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant or dental assistant

Responsibilities

• Providing orthodontic health education to patients and parents
• Communicating with patients professionally and friendly
• Taking panoramic, cephalometric radiographs and intraoral photographs
• Assisting doctors with all orthodontic procedures
• Learning new techniques and skills
• Performing iTero intraoral scanning
• Maintaining sterilization procedures
