About The Position

Westrock Orthodontics is seeking a talented and caring Orthodontic Assistant to help create lasting smiles. The assistant supports the Orthodontist in providing high-quality patient care and performs clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist. The role includes preparing patient operatories and equipment, assisting during examinations and orthodontic treatment, and supporting patients throughout their care journey.

Requirements

• Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting.
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, helping patients remain comfortable and procedures run smoothly.
• Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, and support clinical workflows.
• Perform orthodontic procedures under direct supervision, including placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
• Conduct digital scans and assist in fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
• Educate patients about treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care.
• Record treatment notes accurately and collaborate with the team to provide care throughout the patient’s journey.
