About The Position

Westrock Orthodontics is seeking a talented and caring Orthodontic Assistant to support orthodontic exams and treatments and help create a positive patient experience. The role assists the Orthodontist, supports clinical workflows, performs orthodontic procedures under direct supervision, conducts digital scans, and helps fabricate customized appliances and retainers. The assistant also educates patients about treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care, records treatment notes, and collaborates with the team throughout the patient’s care journey. Nice To Haves

• Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting.
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Orthodontist during exams and treatments, helping patients feel comfortable and procedures run smoothly.
• Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, and support clinical workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Perform orthodontic procedures under direct supervision, including placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
• Conduct digital scans and assist in fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care.
• Record treatment notes accurately and collaborate with the team to support patients throughout their care journey.
