About The Position

Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center is seeking a fellowship-trained, BC/BE Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon to join their physician-led team in Alexandria, Louisiana. This is a high-demand opportunity with immediate surgical volume and no community competition, focusing on bread-and-butter spine practice. The role offers a balanced weekly schedule with 2-2.5 days in clinic, 2-2.5 days in the OR, and 0.5 day for administrative time. The practice has a strong referral network and experienced support staff. A new, state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is opening onsite at the main location in 2026. Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center is the leading provider of orthopaedic care within a two-hour radius of Alexandria, LA, delivering personalized care using advanced technology with compassionate attention. The practice includes 10 physicians, supported by 6 PAs and 3 NPs, with well-established pain management. They have two primary clinics and three satellite clinics, offering Orthopaedic Urgent Care and two physical therapy locations. The state-of-the-art ASC is set to open in August 2026. Services include onsite EMG, imaging, injections, and DME. They utilize the ModMed EMR system and have partnerships with LSU Shreveport, Louisiana Christian University, and the US Ski Team. The practice offers a wide range of specialties including Sports Medicine, Joint Replacement, Back, Neck & Spine, Hand & Wrist, Foot & Ankle, Knee, and Fracture Care, along with ancillary services.
