About The Position

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Orion Orbital Arc Weld Spacecraft Technician to work at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Technicians operate and maintain systems and equipment used to develop, fabricate, test, produce, assemble, and sustain the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV), which transports astronauts to destinations beyond low Earth orbit, including the Moon and Mars. Technicians may have broad knowledge of spacecraft systems or specialized knowledge of a craft, system, or subsystem. This role excludes quality assurance inspectors and material handlers. The technician performs orbital and fusion welding and tube fabrication work, supports spacecraft and ground support equipment construction and assembly, and maintains welding equipment. The role also includes working with technical drawings and documentation, precision measurement, corrosion control, sheet metal fabrication, and maintaining production records. The technician may recommend improvements to work quality, efficiency, and productivity.
