About The Position

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior ORION Spacecraft Technician Electrical in Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The role performs electronic and electromechanical assembly work for production units, development or prototype requirements, product development, manufacturing engineering, or preproduction operations. Work may involve limited documentation and guidance. The technician works from schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions to build developmental assemblies, subassemblies, and components, and may modify or rework assemblies and perform quality testing. A strong electrical background in harness fabrication, testing, and installation is required, along with an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.

Requirements

• Strong electrical background in harness fabrication, testing, and installation.
• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical or para-engineering tasks.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic or electromechanical assembly tasks in support of production units, developmental or prototype requirements, product development, manufacturing engineering, or preproduction operations.
• Construct developmental assemblies, subassemblies, and components using schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions.
• Use standard electronic assembly tools and materials.
• Perform modifications, rework, and quality testing as needed.
