About The Position

We are seeking a Manager, or Senior Manager, Origination & Structuring to lead the identification, development, structuring, and execution of new business opportunities across the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. This senior-level role will be responsible for developing and advancing a pipeline of commercially viable opportunities, building relationships with customers and strategic partners, and leading the commercial structuring of complex transactions. The Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, engineering, project development, and project management to evaluate opportunities and move transactions from initial origination through negotiation and execution. The ideal candidate will bring 5–10 years of experience in renewable energy, power markets, infrastructure, project finance, commercial development, or a related field, with demonstrated experience leading commercial transactions and evaluating complex energy opportunities. This role is part of a global team working toward common goals. We operate as one company, across all locations, with shared responsibility and clear accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required.
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in renewable energy, power markets, infrastructure, project finance, origination, commercial development, investment banking, or a related field (5-7 years Manager; 7+ years Sr. Manager).
  • Demonstrated experience originating, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, or executing complex energy or infrastructure transactions.
  • Experience with PPAs, VPPs, structured energy transactions, tolling agreements, MIPAs, Build Transfer Agreements, or comparable.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, project economics, power markets, and commercial structures.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, utilities, developers, investors, strategic partners, or other energy market participants.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage commercial opportunities and transactions through multiple stages of the deal lifecycle.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and commercial analysis skills, with the ability to evaluate project economics and key transaction sensitivities.
  • Experience developing pricing strategies and evaluating commercial and financial tradeoffs.
  • Experience negotiating term sheets, commercial agreements, and other transaction documents in coordination with legal counsel.
  • Strong understanding of transaction risk, including market, credit, development, regulatory, financing, and counterparty considerations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with legal, finance, engineering, development, operations, and project management teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
  • Ability to translate complex financial, technical, and market information into clear commercial recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy industry trends, market participants, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to evaluate opportunities from both strategic and financial perspectives.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to independently lead complex transactions and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and financial problem-solving capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education or certifications in renewable energy, energy markets, project finance, or commercial strategy are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and development of new business opportunities across targeted renewable energy and power markets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with utilities, corporate customers, developers, investors, financial institutions, strategic partners, and other key market participants.
  • Own and actively manage a pipeline of origination opportunities from initial identification through commercial negotiation and execution.
  • Lead commercial and financial evaluation of potential opportunities, including pricing, project economics, market positioning, risk allocation, and overall transaction viability.
  • Develop and execute origination strategies based on market conditions, customer needs, regulatory developments, competitive activity, and company growth objectives.
  • Lead the structuring of complex commercial transactions, including development of pricing strategies, commercial terms, risk allocation, and transaction structures.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of term sheets, proposals, letters of intent, commercial agreements, and other transaction documentation in partnership with legal counsel.
  • Coordinate and lead responses to RFPs, bilateral opportunities, and other competitive procurement processes.
  • Shepard the process and partner with finance and development in the creation and review of financial models, valuation analyses, pricing scenarios, and commercial assumptions to support investment and transaction decisions.
  • Evaluate project and transaction risks, including market, credit, development, regulatory, financing, execution, and counterparty risks.
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations, transaction strategies, and commercial analyses to senior leadership and internal decision-making committees.
  • Lead cross-functional deal teams involving finance, legal, engineering, development, operations, project management, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary commercial point of contact for customers and counterparties throughout the origination and transaction process.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers, counterparties, and strategic partners while protecting the company's commercial and financial objectives.
  • Monitor renewable energy markets, power pricing, regulatory developments, customer demand, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Support the development of market-entry strategies and evaluation of new technologies, geographies, products, and commercial structures.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, networking events, and other external business development activities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts, opportunity assessments, commercial assumptions, and transaction documentation within CRM and internal reporting systems.
  • Own the development of commercial strategy and investment thesis for assigned market regions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts and junior members of the origination and commercial team.
  • Support senior leadership in developing broader commercial strategy, annual business development priorities, and long-term growth initiatives.
