About The Position

Orientation Leaders (OLs) are responsible for welcoming new students to Chatham University during orientation. They play a crucial role in creating an inclusive environment, assisting new students in connecting with peers, experiencing campus events, and acclimating to university life. OLs will lead a group of 15-20 first-year students throughout the orientation period.

Requirements

  • Current student employee status
  • Notify other managers if working multiple jobs on campus
  • Students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year
  • Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year

Responsibilities

  • Welcome new students to Chatham during orientation
  • Create an inclusive environment for all students
  • Assist new students with meeting other students, experiencing events, and becoming acclimated to campus
  • Lead a group of 15-20 first-year students throughout Orientation

Benefits

  • $400 applied to student account for OL training and Orientation Week
  • $200 for fall semester requirements
