Everytown for Gun Safety is seeking two Organizing Managers to join the Advocacy Campaigns team. These managers will oversee several state-level volunteer chapters of Moms Demand Action, including Everytown Survivor Network volunteers and collaborating with Students Demand Action volunteers. The primary focus will be on growing the volunteer base, training chapter leaders, and ensuring chapters meet organizational goals while fostering inclusivity and diversity. Organizing Managers will work with chapter leadership to develop strategic growth plans and grassroots organizing, including electoral campaigns. They will assess needs, set priorities, identify resources, and assist chapters with communications, partnerships, and educational/advocacy efforts. This role involves conducting site visits, holding regular meetings, and running campaigns in collaboration with other Everytown teams. New Organizing Managers will receive comprehensive training on the gun violence prevention movement, Everytown's policy positions, managing for equity and inclusion, and volunteer management. Providing excellent customer service and timely communication to volunteers is essential. The position is based in NY or DC offices with a hybrid schedule, though remote work may be considered. Travel is required, along with flexibility across time zones and availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
