About The Position

Zurich Canada is currently looking for an Organizational Innovation Senior Consultant to direct the planning, execution, and measurement of business units, function and / or Global strategic and transformational initiatives. Reporting to the SVP Chief Transformation Officer, you will engage directly with the senior team and be accountable for shaping and driving transformational initiatives for the Business Unit as well as enterprise-wide initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
  • Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management
  • Experience in the application of existing and / or change management methodologies and tools
  • Project management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance industry knowledge with subject matter expertise in at least one functional insurance discipline, such as Underwriting, Claims, Risk, Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate cross functional projects that improve organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Own the Canada Third Party Risk Management framework, including critical supplier identification, concentration risk, governance standards, and compliance with Group policies and local regulatory expectations (e.g. OSFI E 21).
  • Support Business Resilience and Continuity Management for Canada, including business impact analysis, continuity plans, crisis management frameworks, testing, and transition of accountability from the US.
  • Act as the central coordination point for governance, controls, and audits for Transformation/Operations, managing KRIs, attestations, remediation of findings, and engagement with Risk, Compliance, Audit, and senior leadership.
  • Drive cross functional execution with Operations, Technology, Procurement, Legal, and Business Leaders to embed third party and resilience requirements into processes and supplier contracts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Transformation Officer and other ExCo sponsors, shaping governance design, localizing Group standards for Canada, and building sustainable ownership beyond one off transformation initiatives.
  • Define project timelines, agendas, goals, and success metrics.
  • Embed best practices in execution, change management, and communication across the enterprise and Business Units.
  • Partner with Business Units to design integrated or BU specific solutions that leverage enterprise processes and tools.
  • Provide methodologies, frameworks, and tools that support innovation and consistent execution.
  • Apply structured change management across the initiative life cycle to improve delivery and outcomes.
  • Ensure metrics align with business strategy, track progress, and clearly demonstrate impact.
  • Advise senior stakeholders and contribute to BU strategic and service plans, including long term strategy.
  • Monitor the external environment to identify opportunities and risks over a 5+ year horizon and incorporate emerging issues into strategies and programs.
