About The Position

HF Sinclair in Sinclair, WY is seeking an Organizational Effectiveness Lead to develop and maintain organizational change capability across the refinery. This person will “Make life better” for our employees by assuring that changes actually improve the quality, effectiveness, efficiency and enjoyability of their work. They will be accountable for reporting to the Transformation Manager, Refinery Leadership Team, and Corporate Culture and Capabilities work stream team on a cadence basis.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience in developing, implementing, delivering, facilitating and coordinating organization development and training programs are required.
  • Active working knowledge and experience in using and/or managing a Learning Management System (LMS) for training content delivery is required.
  • Must demonstrate superior analytical, training, instructional design and productivity skills with an emphasis on development concepts including relevant learning technologies, methods, and tools.
  • Ability to work independently as a productive team member and show self-initiative in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organizational environment where flexibility and adaptability are necessary.
  • Must demonstrate strong skills in project/program management, customer service/relations, multitasking/prioritization, written/verbal communication, and creative problem solving.
  • Must exercise sound judgment and ethics in safeguarding confidential/sensitive information and can independently make decisions to take appropriate actions.
  • Strong business acumen and consultative skills with the ability to influence others at all levels within the organization.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and proficient with Adobe Acrobat and/or Nitro Pro as well as standard e-Learning development tools (i.e. HTML Editor, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures, company LMS, and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must possess social skills to liaison with community members and represent Parco well.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 15 years experience in a refinery environment is preferred.
  • Some training and supervisory experience and conducting training for refining or industrial clients.

Responsibilities

  • Aids in the implementation of Management of Organizational Change (MOOC) facilitation. Develops MOOC tools and train teams on effective use of the MOOC process. Perform quality assurance on MOOCs, ensuring that changes are being rolled out effectively.
  • Tracks sustainment of implemented changes to ensure continued improvement and to guard against back sliding.
  • Management of Change as applicable to site and corporate initiatives
  • Site lead for the Leadership Development Forum (LDF) and the Front Line Leader LDF. Includes facilitating local steering team.
  • Leadership Development Forum program sustainment and improvement for the RMR
  • Work with Charitable Activities Committee to support community initiatives and Maintain Parco’s positive image in the community.
  • Two-way communication support for new programs, policies, initiatives, tools and organization changes. Assists management ensuring the message effectively delivered; ensure that the employees’ up-front input and back-end feedback effectively communicated to management.
  • Enable performance by shifting our culture and behaviors to support a high reliability organization through building capabilities in continuous improvement and leadership development.
  • Manage the change of our people and processes effectively and communicate Revolutionize Reliability messages to both site and fleet along the way.
  • Support site to communicate the 'why', strategy, progress, and successes of on-site changes.
  • Progress and complete reliability focused initiatives. Manage post-change lookbacks to ensure that changes are positively benefitting the site and identifying pain points and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partners across departments to identify and mitigate silos and misaligned workflows.
  • Engages and executes the workforce about the company’s vision, mission, culture and strategies.
  • Works with HR to actively assess and improve employee job satisfaction.
  • Communication plan development & execution.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to facilitate the development of recommendations to address potential and existing site and department-level challenges.
  • Facilitates Kaizen exercises when deemed appropriate by the SRLT.
  • Work with Incident Investigation Teams to communicate findings and action items to refinery employees.
  • Overall site conduit for all workstreams to integrate culture, development, systems, processes, and capabilities within that specific work stream and/or site. This individual will coordinate workstream activities like training and development programs, assists with focus groups, as well as verbal and written communication to a wide variety of groups.
  • Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
