About The Position

The Organizational Effectiveness Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting initiatives that connect business strategy, organizational design, talent development, leadership effectiveness, culture, workforce insights, and change management. Working alongside the Organizational Effectiveness team, the intern will contribute to projects that improve how work gets done, how people grow, and how the organization achieves its business objectives. This is not a traditional HR internship. Instead, the role offers meaningful exposure to organizational design, workforce planning, process improvement, employee experience, leadership development, and organizational transformation. The intern will work on real business challenges that require research, analysis, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration across multiple functions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business, Data Analytics, Communications, Learning & Development, Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Comfort working with data, ambiguity, and open-ended business problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and follow-through.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or experience in organizational design, change management, talent management, leadership development, process improvement, project management, analytics, or business operations.
  • Experience creating process maps, presentations, surveys, communication materials, dashboards, or project plans.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Copilot, or other workplace technologies.
  • Interest in how AI, automation, workforce technology, and data analytics influence organizational performance.
  • Previous internship, research, consulting, student leadership, or work experience involving cross-functional collaboration and project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and summarize external best practices, internal findings, and stakeholder feedback into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Create and update process maps, accountability frameworks, project trackers, job and role documentation, presentations, templates, and leadership resources.
  • Participate in interviews, workshops, project meetings, and stakeholder discussions while documenting key decisions, actions, and next steps.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative workforce information from surveys, dashboards, reports, and business data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Partner with HR, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand current processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support pilot programs and organizational initiatives by coordinating activities, gathering feedback, and documenting lessons learned.
  • Organize and maintain resources within Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Assist with workforce planning, talent management, onboarding, career development, learning initiatives, and employee engagement projects.
  • Support change management and communication efforts by developing stakeholder materials, training resources, communication plans, and adoption tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling employee and business information.
