About The Position

The Talent Development Specialist supports the growth, readiness, and engagement of employees across the organization. This entry-level role is responsible for coordinating onboarding touchpoints, administering learning and certification programs, facilitating in-person training, and maintaining the tools and systems that support workforce development. The ideal candidate is organized, people-oriented, and passionate about building a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable facilitating in front of groups.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential employee information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS or LMS platforms is a plus (e.g., Paycor, Workday, Cornerstone).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or similar intranet/content management platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-in meetings with new hires to assess onboarding progress, identify support needs, and promote early engagement.
  • Partner with managers to ensure new employees receive a consistent and positive onboarding experience.
  • Assign required training curricula based on employee role, department, and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate in-person training sessions and shop floor orientations for new and existing employees.
  • Co-produce live and hybrid learning events, including logistics coordination, platform setup, and on-site support.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee certifications, licenses, and required credentials.
  • Monitor expiration dates and proactively coordinate renewals with employees and managers.
  • Ensure training completion records comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain and update SharePoint sites, including training libraries, HR resources, and the events calendar.
  • Ensure content is current, organized, and accessible to all employees.
