About The Position

The Organizational Development Consultant works closely with Human Resources and business units to design and implement best practice talent management methodologies to increase engagement, hiring, retention and performance of high-quality associates. Serves as lead member of Human Resources on corporatewide initiatives ensuring the design and implementation of such initatives aligns with the organization's culture, and both business unit and human resource strategies and goals. Drives the Company's organizational change management discipline and partners with business areas across the Company to ensure successful adoption and ownership of change initiatives. Partners with business areas to create a change management plan that is consistent, best-in-class, and increases associates engagement, adoption and usage while minimizing resistance. Works with minimal supervision and independently makes a broad range of critical decisions escalating when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree In human resources, organizational development, education or business-related field of study - Required
  • Proven human resource or related experience serving in strategically focused role. Successful implementation of large, corporate wide programs. - Required
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing management at all levels to initiate and execute on strategic initiatives resulting in a high performing organization. - Required
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple projects or deliverables simultaneously. - Required
  • Typically minimum of three years of professional experience with at least one year in an organization development, consulting, corporate training and development, education, business analyst, process documentation, or related role. - Required
  • Proven ability to influence individual contributors without position power.
  • Demonstrated strong consultative and relationship building skills.
  • Proven ability to accurately diagnose needs, influence and gain support for necessary change and adoption, and to develop a strategy with clearly defined goals that can quickly be put into action plans and supports organization culture.
  • Demonstrated strong results orientation with demonstrated fact-based decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze and assess organizational and development needs. Experience conducting needs analysis and implementing programs and procedures, formulating and implementing best practices, and developing and implementing new strategies and initiatives. In-depth knowledge of organizational development theory and practices, and expertise in change management methods and tools.
  • Demonstrated strong facilitation skills with the ability to facilitate leadership development courses, knowledge transfer process, change management, and other organization development practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully complete projects, implement a defined process, and hold self and others accountable to project commitments.
  • Proven strong consulting, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate complex or technical data into clear, focused, concise language.
  • Proven use of strong listening skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to shift from strategic to tactical work depending on situation and role required.
  • Proven collaboration, negotiation, and conflict management skills to remove barriers and synthesize resources necessary to complete projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Web conferencing, SharePoint and Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Drives the organization's change management discipline in a consistent and reliable way, consults with business areas to create change management plans that are consistent, best-in-class, measurable, and increases associates engagement, adoption and usage while minimizing resistance.
  • Develops and administers change management assessments to measure stakeholder readiness and adjusts strategies to meet areas where they are needed. Consults in a way that builds leaders change management capabilities.
  • Facilitates dialogue, organization development practices, change management, knowledge transfer and leadership development courses.
  • Develops strong cross-functional partnerships with Human Resources and business areas to ensure the design, development and implementation of large, corporate-wide initiatives align with organizational culture, and both business and human resource strategy goals.
  • Ensures all processes, practices and programs comply with all Company policies, and federal, state and local laws, and regulations regarding recruiting and other employment practices. Partners with Human Resources and Legal departments for consultation.
  • Stays informed of current trends inside and outside of our industry and Human Resources, networking and being aware of competitor strategies and major operational initiatives. Shares trending regularly and incorporates trends into proposed strategies/solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
