About The Position

The intern will join a team of bench chemists in the Medicinal Chemistry group, contributing to the synthesis of novel drug analogs, troubleshooting synthetic challenges, and supporting scale-up of promising drug candidates. This laboratory-based role focuses on analogue development and synthetic methodology, providing hands-on experience with industry-relevant medicinal chemistry practices and drug discovery workflows.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program.
• Strong foundation in organic chemistry and experience in an organic research laboratory through graduate research work.
• Desire to spend most of the time at the bench running synthetic experiments.
• Understanding of modern analytical methods such as HPLC, LCMS, and NMR.
• Creativity, autonomy, a can-do attitude, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret complex organic chemistry experiments in a laboratory-based medicinal chemistry environment.
• Document and communicate experimental results through written reports, data summaries, presentations, and discussions with colleagues.
