About The Position

The Organ Recovery Technician (ORT) is responsible for helping complete and maintain organ donor medical records, supply management, assisting in the operating room during organ recovery, preservation of kidneys, and allocation of kidneys for successful transplantation. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting with the initiation of organ donor cases. Mid-South Transplant Foundation (MSTF) has helped to facilitate the organ and tissue donation process between donor families and transplant recipients and promotes awareness through public and professional education.

Requirements

• Degree or certification in health-related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience preferred
• Experience with sterile technique preferred
• Strong organization and interpersonal skills
• Must use critical thinking skills, analytical and be detail-oriented
• Must have auto liability insurance
