About The Position

New England Donor Services (NEDS) is seeking an Organ Clinical Coordinator (OCC) to serve as a hospital’s and/or transplant center’s first point of contact for organ donation and transplantation. In this fast-paced role, the OCC answers incoming referral calls, screens referrals for donor suitability, and coordinates the logistics of organ recovery and placement for transplantation. The coordinator works regularly with transplant surgeons, transplant coordinators, and other hospital staff to facilitate the transplant process and support NEDS’s mission to save and heal lives through organ and tissue donation. The position is based primarily onsite at NEDS’s headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. One 12-hour shift may be worked remotely from a home office when workload allows, and further remote opportunities may be available after orientation, which takes several months. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts and one 12-hour on-call shift per week. Shifts may run days, nights, or swing hours; overnight, weekend, and holiday work is required. The schedule may change, so flexibility is essential. Candidates must live within 60–90 minutes of Waltham.
