About The Position

This role assists the Weapons Department in day-to-day Ordnance operations. The position coordinates with supported commands and prepares required documentation to facilitate the movement of munitions in support of NSWG-2 and its component commands. The individual will provide detailed technical advice and assistance pertaining to the movement of munitions via all modes of transportation. This includes using technical publications to facilitate shipment priorities and being familiar with DD Form 2790 and DD Form 626.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and experience related to the duties of a shipping clerk garnered from at least a minimum of three (3) years’ Ordnance HAZMAT shipping experience within the past 3 years.
• Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
• Maintain forklift license up to 6,000lb capacity.
• Must meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles / CESE for use in their official duties.

Nice To Haves

• AMMO-62 Technical Transportation of HAZMAT certification for shipping.
• Documentation of previous Ordnance Qualification/Certification Board Member.
