About The Position

Summit Home Care and Hospice is searching for an experienced and motivated Orders Management Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team. We’re committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services in the comfort of our patients' homes to positively impact quality of life by redefining the delivery of care. Orders Management Clinical Nurse Coordinator: Hours: Dayshift, Monday – Friday (40 Hours/Week) Location: 800 Yard St. Suite 300 Columbus, OH 43212 Training: On-Site & Other On-Site Meeting May Be Required; Eligible for hybrid after 6 months (2 days from home) Approved Remote Location: Columbus, Ohio Pay Rate: $26.00 - $28.00 per Hour Reports To: Regional Orders and Scheduling Director/Director of Nursing

Requirements

  • High school degree required.
  • Active Ohio nursing license required (LPN or RN).
  • Must obtain an Indiana nursing license within 120 days of employment.
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
  • Strong computer skills in data entry, Microsoft Excel, and Word applications, must type 50 WPM
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years' experience in healthcare data entry or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and document physician orders for our home health care company.
  • Requires a high-level customer service interacting with physicians’ offices to obtain orders via phone.
  • Obtain specific physician orders for patients and upload them to a patient page in our EMR system.
  • Ensure that physicians’ orders are accurately communicated to agency departments and staff.
  • Demonstrate professional assertiveness when communicating with providers' offices.
  • Report and/or troubleshoots missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Utilize office and other patient care software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and EFax
  • Collaborate closely with outside physicians’ office personnel across various communication platforms.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to patients and the organization.
  • Perform interdepartmental and external communication.
  • Engage in team meetings and provide feedback.
  • Develop and implement organization policies and procedures under the guidance of supervisor(s).
  • Attend in-person trainings and meetings when necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
