About The Position
Orderlies perform cleaning, disinfecting, and materials management support duties in the Surgical Department to facilitate safe and effective patient care in the Operating Room, Short Procedure Unit, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Sterile Processing Unit, and other patient units as assigned. The role also performs other direct and indirect patient care duties throughout the organization for adult and geriatric patients as needed.
Requirements
- Housekeeping or supply/stocking experience in an Operating Room or surgical setting is required.
- BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect areas and equipment in the Surgical Department.
- Provide materials management support in the Surgical Department.
- Support patient care services in the Operating Room, Short Procedure Unit, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Sterile Processing Unit, and other assigned patient units.
- Perform other direct and indirect patient care duties for adult and geriatric patients throughout the organization as needed.
