About The Position

Toms River Yacht Club is looking for a friendly and energetic part-time Order Taker/Light Cook to join our team in Toms River, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fun, waterfront club environment where great food and great people come together. If you love interacting with guests and don't mind getting your hands a little busy in the kitchen, we want to hear from you! Position runs now through Labor Day – the perfect opportunity to earn extra income for the rest of the summer! Must be over 18 years old. Weekends are a must.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, order taking, or light food preparation preferred
Basic cooking skills and comfort working in a kitchen environment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Friendly, reliable, and punctual with a team-player attitude
Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one a plus
Must be over 18 years old

Responsibilities

Take food and beverage orders accurately from club members and guests
Perform light cooking duties including preparing simple menu items and snacks
Deliver orders and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including kitchen and front-of-house spaces
Assist with restocking supplies and keeping the kitchen prepped and ready for service
Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
