About The Position

GFT Ready Mix is seeking an experienced Ready Mix Order Taker - Shipper responsible for order taking and shipping to facilitate the deployment of their goods and services. This is a 100% on-site role in Phoenix, AZ, requiring availability Monday-Saturday, typically from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with hours potentially varying based on business needs.

Requirements

• Ready mix industry experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center, dispatching, or similar environment.
• Previous dispatch software experience preferred.
• Computer literacy required including but not limited to Microsoft office products and the ability to type 40+ WPM.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and manage changing priorities while providing excellent customer service to both our customers and our drivers.
• Strong knowledge of Phoenix and surrounding areas.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check in accordance with applicable law.

Nice To Haves

• Prior ready mix dispatching experience preferred.
• Command Alkon Series software experience a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Taking orders from customers via Command Series Software.
• Inputting orders into the system as they are requested.
• Assisting customers in identifying proper products needed for specific end uses.
• Completing order intake.
• Printing tickets and shipping orders using the Command System for plants.
• Constantly reviewing schedules and customer orders throughout the day to anticipate business trucking demands.
• Completing required daily reports.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
