About The Position

Join the team at The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. This position is responsible for taking proper orders via telephone, relaying back, and confirming the order with the guest prior to completion of the phone conversation. The working schedule for this position may include days, evenings, weekends, & holidays based on operational needs. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license, a condition of continued employment.
Must demonstrate a capacity to operate the Point of Sale system and complete elementary math functions.
Must be responsible for cash, credit card and room charge handling.
Must demonstrate complete organizational skills both in paperwork and work area.
Must be able to communicate effectively to co-workers and other staff.

Nice To Haves

A complete knowledge of the menu and all related menu items.
A complete knowledge of the room service process to be able to direct the guest and answer any questions.

Responsibilities

Taking proper orders via telephone, relaying back, and confirming the order with the guest prior to completion of the phone conversation.
Arranging room service carts in a professional and appealing manner.
Maintaining an adequate amount of room service supplies.
Completing fundamental mathematics.
Functioning with the Point of Service System.
Handling guest concerns and questions in a thorough and professional manner.
Completing other duties as assigned by management.
