About The Position

The Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting and palletizing food and non-food products to fulfill customer orders within a multi-level warehouse environment. Using an electric pallet jack and/or forklift, the Order Selector transports completed orders to the shipping dock, where they are prepared for shipment. This role requires adherence to all safety regulations, quality standards, and productivity expectations while supporting the efficient flow of products throughout the distribution process. The employee functions as a team member within the department and performs additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
6 to 12 months of warehouse and/or distribution center experience.
Must be able to work assigned schedule and required overtime as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and stack products weighing 10 to 35 pounds regularly.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
Ability to perform continuous physical activity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong time management and productivity skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and preferred work methods.
Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report unsafe conditions or practices.
Review work schedules, gather required supplies, and prepare for daily operations.
Conduct safety inspections on pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment prior to use.
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
Meet established productivity and order accuracy standards.
Operate an electric pallet jack and/or forklift to travel through assigned warehouse aisles and storage racks.
Locate products using order sheets or picking systems and accurately select items for customer orders.
Manually place products onto pallets from pick slots and storage racks as required.
Build and organize customer orders using single or double pallets as directed.
Transport completed orders to designated shipping dock staging areas.
Shrink-wrap, label, and prepare pallets for shipment as required.
Replace or recharge equipment batteries and complete vehicle inspection documentation.
Secure equipment and complete all required paperwork at the end of each shift.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
