About The Position

Permatex is currently looking for an Order Selector to join their Distribution team. This position operates on a 2nd Shift, from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. The basic function of this role is to accurately pick, check, and transport customer orders to designated locations in a timely manner. Requirements

  • Must be experienced in driving powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.
  • Must recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Must possess the ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must read and write English and perform simple math calculations.
  • Must be computer literate.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years of prior picking experience

Responsibilities

  • Work a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
  • Be flexible and available to work overtime on weekends as needed, dependent upon the distribution schedule and manager.
  • Accurately pick customer orders, paying special attention to customer specific requirements.
  • Utilize R/F technology to fulfill orders and generate appropriate labels and paperwork.
  • Stand, lift, and bend the entire shift and be able to lift 65 pounds.
  • Drive motorized material handling equipment.
  • Independently perform housekeeping aisle audits on a routine basis.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a team environment.
  • Independently plan work activities and meet daily productivity goals.
  • Be detail oriented and able to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Actively participate in the Safety Program.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
