About The Position

The Order Processing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of customer orders throughout the order fulfillment lifecycle. This role supports manufacturing operations by coordinating order planning, maintaining system data integrity, and ensuring alignment with production schedules and plant capacity. The position partners with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service to support on-time delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while delivering a high level of customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience in order management, production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a high-volume environment.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to anticipate issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end execution of customer orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Review, validate, and maintain customer order information to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Schedule customer orders based on production lead times, plant capacity, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor order milestones and maintain accurate status updates in SAP, Symmetry, and other business systems.
  • Coordinate engineering activities to support customer commitments and project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate customer ship dates and align them with production schedules.
  • Utilize capacity planning tools to support production balancing and level loading.
  • Monitor daily order queues, prioritize workload, and proactively resolve planning issues.
  • Process customer order authorizations within established service-level expectations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resolution of customer complaints and communicate updates as needed.
  • Escalate order risks, scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, and other issues that may impact delivery commitments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to customer orders, engineering activities, and authorizations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to ensure successful order fulfillment.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
