Order Picker
About The Position
This position is responsible for packing all export orders and providing sales with appropriate information for export documents. The role also involves packing regular orders, touching up materials, and returning items that cannot be shipped. Key duties include running labels/BOL for shipments, building pallets/crates, and loading/unloading trucks. Accuracy is crucial, requiring a check of shipping copies, export documentation, and bills of lading before product shipment. The Order Picker will also support other shipping functions as needed and perform other related duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have great communication skills.
- Must be able to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to use a staple gun and build crates.
- Must be able to operate the foam machine.
- Must have a forklift license.
- Must be willing to work overtime with short notice.
Responsibilities
- Pack all export orders and provide sales with appropriate information for export documents.
- Pack regular orders and touch up all materials when necessary or return materials to proper location if unable to ship.
- Run labels/BOL for shipments.
- Build pallets/crates
- Load and unload trucks
- Before product is shipped, check shipping copies, export documentation, and bills of lading for accuracy.
- Support other shipping functions deemed necessary by supervisor/and or company.
- Other related duties assigned by Supervisor.
