1st Shift, Cooler, Split Role, Order Picker & Truck Loader

About The Position

Kemps is hiring fast-paced and motivated warehouse operators for a split role. The position involves working two days per week as an order selector and two days per week loading trucks. Operators safely use material-handling equipment and machinery in a cooler environment maintained at 35–40°F. The role is based in a wet environment, and employees may occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals. The position starts at $27.43 per hour. The schedule is first shift, with a 4 a.m. or 6 a.m. start time, 10–12-hour shifts, and a rotating schedule. Flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, are required. Kemps is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. Requirements

Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug, background, and criminal checks.
Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend virtually the entire shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in a wet environment and in temperatures maintained at 35–40°F.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Work two days per week as an order selector and two days per week loading trucks.
Safely operate material-handling equipment and machinery in a cooler environment.
Manually stack and move cases up to 6–8 cases high.
Assist others with lifting when necessary.
