About The Position

Evergreen Enterprises is seeking experienced Order Pickers to join its warehouse team at Midlothian Turnpike. This role performs order-picking and packing duties, assists in other warehouse areas as needed, and cleans the designated work area at the end of the shift.

Responsibilities

Obtain a pick sheet.
Prepare a cart for picking by adding the correct box types and attaching a shipping label to each box.
Locate pick locations accurately using the pick sheet.
Verify the correct SKU and quantity before placing items in the designated box.
Arrange items neatly in boxes to prevent product damage.
Notify warehouse leadership of incorrect items or locations with no quantity, and note missing items on the list for the specific box.
Bring completed boxes to the conveyor area.
Gather several boxes to fill the shipping conveyor area.
Verify that each order contains the first product listed inside the box.
Verify or apply the shipping label to the outside of the box.
Place the document listing the items for that box inside it.
Ensure products fit appropriately; rearrange items or change the box size if necessary.
Ensure products are safely packed before closing boxes, providing enough protection for glass products to prevent transportation damage.
Notify warehouse leadership about boxes that do not contain the first item listed or cannot fit all items.
Assist in other warehouse areas as needed, including packing, picking, dropship, light manufacturing, and other warehouse areas.
Clean the designated work area at the end of the shift.
