About The Position

Evergreen Enterprises is seeking experienced Order Pickers to join its warehouse team at Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, Virginia. The role includes picking and packing orders, communicating inventory or order issues to warehouse leadership, assisting in other warehouse areas as needed, and cleaning the designated work area at the end of the shift.

Responsibilities

Obtain pick sheets and prepare carts with the correct box types, pinning a shipping label to each box.
Locate pick locations listed on the pick sheet and verify the correct SKU and quantity before placing items in the designated box.
Arrange picked items neatly to avoid product damage and note missing items on the list for the relevant box.
Report incorrect items and pick locations with no quantity to warehouse leadership.
Bring completed boxes to the conveyor area.
Gather boxes to fill the shipping conveyor area.
Verify that each order contains the first product listed inside the box.
Verify or apply the shipping label on the outside of each box.
Place the document listing the items for the box inside it.
Ensure products fit appropriately in the box, rearranging items or changing the box size when needed.
Ensure products are safely packed before closing boxes, providing sufficient protection for glass products during transportation.
Report boxes missing the first listed item or unable to fit all items to warehouse leadership.
Assist in other warehouse areas as needed, including packing, picking, dropship, light manufacturing, and other warehouse work.
Clean the designated work area at the end of the shift.
