About The Position

This position will operate in our cold storage warehouse. We will provide the necessary gear for the cold conditions. Universal Pure is dedicated to giving people everywhere safe, fresh, and delicious food to eat and drink. We provide high-pressure processing (HPP), value-added services (VAS) and cold storage for our partners in the food industry. We are focused on safety and driven by service. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes potential overtime, weekends and different work schedules
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English language
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing, repetitive bending and standing up is required.
  • Ability to lift 10-35 lbs. repetitively and up to 45 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to work with allergenic food ingredients.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months material handling equipment/forklift experience preferred
  • Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems preferred
  • Experience with the refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with computers and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Experience following safety procedures preferred
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Follow the operations tasks directed by the supervisor
  • Communicate and execute work assignments to meet set expectations by department and customer requirements
  • Communicate with and perform as an assistant for all staff and departments such as the supervisors, support staff, leadership, and front-line employees
  • Communicate with internal team to address needs
  • Prepare duty-related paperwork
  • Escalate work-related and interpersonal issues to leadership as needed
  • Perform quality checks and report failures to supervisor
  • Ensure own adherence to Safety and Quality processes and regulations
  • Be a resource for Safety, QA and company processes and procedures
  • Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
  • Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor
