About The Position

Universal Pure is seeking an Order Picker/Order Selector for their 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) in a cold storage warehouse environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of products from receipt to shipment, ensuring organization and readiness for movement and use. The company offers a speedy interview process with on-the-spot offers and immediate start dates. Universal Pure is dedicated to providing safe, fresh, and delicious food and drink products through high-pressure processing (HPP), value-added services (VAS), and cold storage for food industry partners, with a strong focus on safety and service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes potential overtime, weekends and different work schedules
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English language
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing, repetitive bending and standing up required.
  • Ability to lift 10-35 lbs. repetitively and up to 45 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to withstand cold temperatures for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to work with allergenic food ingredients.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months material handling equipment/forklift experience preferred
  • Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems preferred
  • Experience with the refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with computers and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Experience following safety procedures preferred
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Follow operations tasks directed by the supervisor.
  • Communicate and execute work assignments to meet set expectations by department and customer requirements.
  • Communicate with and perform as an assistant for all staff and departments such as supervisors, support staff, leadership, and front-line employees.
  • Communicate with internal team to address needs.
  • Prepare duty-related paperwork.
  • Escalate work-related and interpersonal issues to leadership as needed.
  • Perform quality checks and report failures to supervisor.
  • Ensure own adherence to Safety and Quality processes and regulations.
  • Be a resource for Safety, QA and company processes and procedures.
  • Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor.
