About The Position

The Order Pick Associate ensures that materials such as Point of Sale (POS) terminals, printers, peripheral devices and other supplies are accurately picked from inventory in the warehouse. The Order Pick Associate uses a handheld computer tablet to obtain lists of items to pull from multi-level shelving units to be processed and packet out as required per order specifications. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months to 1 year of shipping and/or receiving experience
  • Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as a handheld tablet, rolling ladders, step ladders, skate wheel rollers, dock carts, and hand-held scanners
  • Ability to discern numbers and information in order to sort packages correctly
  • Demonstrated sense of accountability and problem resolution
  • Intermediate PC skills
  • Excellent attendance/punctuality
  • Ability to work overtime, as required
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both a written and oral form with a diversity of individuals in multiple functional areas
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to understand basic English
  • Bending and Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
  • Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devises using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized
  • Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing up to 15 pounds from one location to another
  • Moderate Carrying: Items weighing 16 to 44 pounds
  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with fingers (including thumb) and palm
  • Light Lifting: Raising objects up to 15 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another
  • Moderate Lifting: Objects 16 – 44 pounds
  • Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward, or upward
  • Reaching above shoulder: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Repetitive motion: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for sustained periods of time
  • Sitting: Particularly for sustained periods of time
  • Standing: Up to 7 hours per day
  • Walking: Moving about on foot throughout the course of the day
  • Visual Requirement: (Examples: Able to see and read PC screens; detect color coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pulling inventory and documenting product pulled including: terminals, pin pads, printers, forms, rolls, kits, plates, and decals and other supplies
  • Responsible for exceptions handling and interfacing with other departments to ensure product availability
  • Responsible for maintaining the min/max levels of inventory and notifying the appropriate party with any discrepancies
  • Will separate and stock the materials that have been received into the warehouse
  • Create call-tags for any merchant return items
  • Create Terminal ID stickers through the labeling program on a PC
  • Pre-collate merchant kits for multiple clients, when applicable, with items including welcome letters, flyers, forms, and instructions
  • Assist with inventory counts/cycle counts
  • Works with accounting during month/quarter end inventory
  • Works with other fulfillment departments to ensure that all eligible packages are available
  • Performs other duties as required to meet business needs
