About The Position

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for reading and understanding orders, selecting and packing finished goods, checking accuracy of product and count, packaging orders according to work instructions, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The role also involves refilling packaging materials and adhering to all department and safety procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
1+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to perform basic mathematic computations
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
Must possess a strong attention to detail
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Ability to push-pull a maximum of 1200 lbs. with a manual rolling assist
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, sit, and ladder-climb for more than 1 hour at a time
Must be able to work at heights of up to 20 feet
Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
Proficient computer skills

Nice To Haves

Technical Certification
Experience using an ERP system
Experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet-jacks, carts, etc.)
General knowledge of workplace safety

Responsibilities

Read and understand the order to be packed
Select and pack finished goods as noted on the sales order
Check accuracy of product and product count against checklist prior to processing the order
Package small and bulk orders according to work instruction
Inform the Supervisor or Team Leader when there are issues with order fulfillment or product shortages
Maintain a clean, safe work area
Refill work area with packaging materials as needed
Follow all department and safety procedures of the facility and warehouse zones
