About The Position

We are seeking an Order Management Specialist to join our growing team and play a critical role in supporting our Commercial Casework Hardware business. In this position, you'll serve as a trusted resource for customers, distributors, and sales partners by ensuring orders are processed accurately, projects stay on track, and customers receive exceptional service throughout the order lifecycle. Your expertise and commitment to quality will help deliver innovative hardware solutions for commercial and institutional projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in order management, order entry, sales support, customer service, or a related business support role.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, construction, industrial, or hardware distribution environments.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate work.

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework or degree.
  • Experience with Plex ERP or similar business systems.
  • Experience in the hardware, casework, cabinetry, or construction-related industries.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Familiarity with AWI standards and industry best practices.
  • Understanding of hardware materials, finishes, and compatibility requirements.
  • Experience supporting contractors, architects, distributors, or construction project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer orders from entry through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy in part numbers, quantities, finishes, and specifications.
  • Serve as a product resource for customers and sales teams, providing guidance on hinges, pulls, wire doors, shelving systems, workstation brackets, and related hardware solutions.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals to confirm proper product selection and order requirements.
  • Communicate order updates, lead times, and shipment information to customers and stakeholders.
  • Partner with purchasing, warehouse, engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure timely and successful order fulfillment.
  • Assist customers with quotations, pricing inquiries, and product availability.
  • Investigate and resolve order discrepancies, backorders, returns, and shipping-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate customer, project, and order information within ERP and CRM systems.
  • Support contractors, distributors, and millwork partners with project-specific requirements.
  • Help ensure compliance with project specifications, customer expectations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external sales teams to support customer relationships and project success.
