About The Position

As a Designer IV supporting the Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) Pod, you will serve as an experienced design resource supporting customer-specific order execution for one of our important data center product platforms. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop models, drawings, documentation, and bills of material that directly support bid activities, submittals, order release, manufacturing, and production support. You will play an important role in driving design quality, documentation accuracy, design standardization, and continuous improvement while helping ensure timely and effective pod execution.

Requirements

• Relevant technical training with 6 to 8 years of experience.
• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic design or related field.
• Experience in design, drafting, or product documentation support required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, ProEngineer, or similar CAD tools required.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time is required.
• Working knowledge of design and drafting standards, methods, and documentation practices.
• Ability to create and maintain accurate models, drawings, and bills of material.
• Ability to work effectively in a technical engineering team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple varied tasks simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused, innovative, and quality-minded approach to assigned duties.
• Ability to adjust to changing demands, priorities, and objectives.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in HVAC equipment, sheet metal design, piping packages, or related engineered product environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design activities for the Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) Pod.
• Create and maintain equipment drawings, CAD models, design documentation, and bills of material to support job processing and order execution.
• Work closely with engineers to generate job-specific drawings and documentation in support of bid activities, submittals, order release, and production support.
• Support the development of accurate product configurations, layouts, and documentation packages.
• Produce designs and documentation using computer-aided design and product lifecycle management systems.
• Apply drafting and design standards, methods, and processes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Support documentation updates, design changes, and model revisions with attention to detail and responsiveness.
• Identify and resolve design issues with sound judgment and attention to detail, escalating more complex issues as needed.
• Incorporate DFM updates into drawings, models, and documentation to support quality, safety, and assembly efficiency.
• Support CWT readiness by updating drawings and documentation based on engineering and lab requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering and other functions to support engineering changes, documentation updates, and product improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and cross-functional partners to support product quality, manufacturability, and on-time execution.
• Support design standardization and continuous improvement efforts that enhance quality, manufacturability, and responsiveness.
• Maintain competency in CAD tools and related applications through training and practical experience.
• Support team objectives in a fast-paced technical environment with a customer-focused and quality-minded approach.
