About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse and order-picking activities, including pulling merchandise from a pick list, scanning and verifying items, moving orders from the sales floor to a staging area, and operating equipment. The role supports BJ’s digital fulfillment initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. Associates are expected to meet productivity and service-level expectations, follow established procedures, maintain a clean and organized fulfillment area, and provide a safe, friendly experience for members.

Requirements

• Previous order-pulling experience preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience preferred.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 30 pounds.
• May need to lift and move heavy or awkward objects weighing more than 30 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to move about continuously on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop.

Responsibilities

• Pick merchandise from the sales floor using a pick list and handheld RF scanner.
• Verify merchandise and update merchandise locations using a handheld scanner.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and replenishment needs to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinate with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales floor replenishment.
• Complete orders promptly and meet productivity, service-level agreement, performance metric, and deadline requirements.
• Follow operational processes and established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Keep the Ship from Club area neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine whether to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies and procedures, including dress code and safety standards.
• Provide friendly, courteous service, address or escalate member concerns, and contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
