About The Position

The Order Filler/Associate/Fulfillment role is responsible for efficiently and accurately pulling items according to customer orders. This involves navigating the warehouse, identifying and retrieving correct products and quantities, and transporting them to the checking station. Basic computer navigation, use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment, and adherence to safety and housekeeping policies are essential. Accuracy and speed are important in this repetitive role, especially when handling potentially hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to ensure proper retrieval of products for shipment.
• Ability to identify sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system, adapting to its commands and ensuring your speech is understood.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Frequently required to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to move heavy product in excess of 1,000 pounds with moving aids designed to move such items including hand trucks, dollies, motorized cart, pallet jacks, etc.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management.
• Identify the proper product and quantity from the shelf, pull the product, and transport it to the checking station.
• Perform basic navigation on the computer.
• Utilize voice picking and RF scanning equipment.
• Adhere to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of the facility and specific product line area.
• Maintain accuracy and speed in repetitive tasks.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules, including the handling of hazardous materials.
