About The Position

This is a full-time Order Filler/Associate/Fulfillment position in a warehouse/distribution setting. The primary responsibility is to efficiently and accurately pull items according to customer orders. The role involves using technology like computers, voice picking systems, and RF scanners, adhering to safety and housekeeping policies, and maintaining accuracy and speed in routine tasks. The position requires functional literacy to identify product numbers and codes, basic computer navigation, and the ability to communicate effectively with a voice picking system.

Requirements

• Functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper retrieval of products for shipment, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system.
• Adapt to understanding the voice system’s commands, as well as adapting your speech so that the voice system can understand your input.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Lift up to 60 pounds.
• Move heavy product in excess of 1,000 pounds with moving aids designed to move such items including hand trucks, dollies, motorized cart, pallet jacks, etc.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management.
• Identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport the product to the checking station.
• Basic navigation on the computer is required.
• Use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment is required.
• Adherence to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of facility and specific product line area is required.
• Maintain accuracy in repetitive routine while maintaining good speed.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.
