About The Position

The Sales Support Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Commercial Sales team and ensuring a high‑quality customer experience. This position is responsible for a broad range of administrative and operational functions, including new customer account setup, request intake and triage, and coordination across multiple internal departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. This role will also provide occasional backup coverage for Receptionist and Mail Clerk responsibilities as business needs require.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, OneNote, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years of administrative, sales support, or receptionist experience
  • Strong data entry and typing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Salesforce Inquiry Case queue, including:
  • New customer account setup
  • ERP account migrations
  • Customer account updates
  • Processing approximately 1–10 accounts per day
  • Monitor and triage departmental email inboxes, ensuring all inquiries are reviewed and assigned within 24 hours
  • Escalate complex or high‑priority requests to appropriate teams or stakeholders
  • Verify and authorize customer credit limits up to $5,000; coordinate with Finance for higher‑level approvals
  • Support distributor onboarding and maintain e‑commerce customer accounts
  • Coordinate completion of customer and vendor forms and questionnaires in partnership with Legal, Finance, and Quality teams
  • Provide backup support for Receptionist and Mail Clerk duties as needed
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of customer requests
