About The Position

The Order Entry Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of processing customer orders within the business services industry. This position is responsible for entering, verifying, and managing order information in the company’s systems to facilitate timely fulfillment and delivery. The specialist acts as a key liaison between customers, sales teams, and fulfillment departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders. By maintaining meticulous attention to detail and adhering to established procedures, the Order Entry Specialist helps to enhance customer satisfaction and operational productivity. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in order entry, data entry, or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency with order management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Associate’s degree or higher in business administration or related field.
  • Experience working in the business services industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and ERP software.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter customer orders into the order management system in a timely manner.
  • Verify order details including product codes, quantities, pricing, and customer information to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams to clarify order details and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain and update order records, tracking statuses and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with company policies.
  • Collaborate with sales, inventory, and shipping departments to coordinate order fulfillment and delivery schedules.
  • Identify and escalate any order processing issues or delays to management for prompt resolution.
  • Generate and distribute order confirmations, invoices, and reports as required.
  • Continuously review and improve order entry processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
