About The Position

This person is responsible for receiving and acting upon any communications, written or verbal, from International end-user customers and/or distributors relating to any concern regarding customer or product service. This role involves maintaining excellent customer service, serving as a liaison between the company and international customers/distributors, and preparing quotes and entering orders. The associate will also manage credit requests, maintain accurate records, and keep customers informed of potential delivery issues. A comprehensive knowledge of Pella products is required, along with the ability to train others on systems and processes. The position demands exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize jobs continuously.
  • A working knowledge of the PDQ/POETS system, the Rolnet order entry system and the Credit Request is required to provide proper response to distributor inquiries.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with PDQ/POETS and Rolnet.

Nice To Haves

  • Good knowledge of Pella products preferred.
  • Fluent in a foreign language preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains excellent customer service with all phases of International customers/distributors.
  • Serves as the contact person and is required to work closely with many different departments (i.e. International Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance and Architectural Services) to assure proper communication between Pella Corporation and the International customer.
  • Responsible for preparing quotes for the International distributors and International Sales in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for entering all the International orders and for the research, computation and entry of credit requests into the Credit Request System that result from International business.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications and transactions with International distributors/customers so there is an accurate audit trail for future use.
  • Responsible for keeping the International distributor/customers informed of situations that may adversely affect the timely delivery of product to them.
  • Must develop a complete knowledge of all products and accessories manufactured/sold by Pella Corporation, both current and obsolete.
  • Responsible for creating/maintaining International distributors on the computer systems and for notifying appropriate Pella employees.
  • Host International distributors and potential distributors and conducting mini-seminars on subjects such as PDQ/POETS and the general International Customer Service Quoting and Order Fulfillment Process.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the International training manual that is used by the new quoting personnel and the new International contact person in Traditional Customer Service.
  • Responsible for the PDQ/POETS training for the new sales groups.
