About The Position

Intercity Packers Ltd. is seeking an Order Assembly Worker for their Warehouse in Richmond, BC. This role involves picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing, and retrieving stock. The company is the largest meat/seafood distribution company in Western Canada and part of the Gordon Food Service (GFS) Canada group. Requirements

  • Stand-up Forklift and pallet jack experience
  • Ability to follow directions, standard procedures and respond to instructions
  • Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
  • Must have ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure production quality.
  • Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete shipping processes, including ensuring orders are shipped and invoiced correctly, all orders are delivered, frozen items are placed in the blast freezer, product is rotated according to FIFO, and QA levels/standards are maintained.
  • Follow all HACCP regulations.
  • Conduct semi-annual employee performance evaluation reviews.
  • Maintain equipment to ICP Standards.
  • Plan and execute production to fulfill regulatory and SQF requirements.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
