About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking an Ordained Pastor to work at Copper Shores Village, a facility with 67 independent living apartments, 38 assisted living apartments, and 14 memory support apartments, located next to Copper Creek Lake. The role involves providing spiritual care and leadership, supporting residents, participants, their families, and staff, and promoting the organization's mission and values. The pay is based on experience, certifications, skills, and education.

Requirements

  • Master of Divinity or equivalent degree in related field of study is required.
  • Two (2) years of pastoral or related experience is required.
  • Ordination in and endorsement by individual’s denominational church body is required.
  • Commitment to full inclusivity in providing spiritual care.
  • Current certification in boundaries training.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education is preferred.
  • Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Provides onsite pastoral care such as worship planning and leadership, preparing and leading studies in Bible, spirituality and related topics, resident/participant visitation, and staff support.
  • Provides offsite pastoral care such as visitations to hospitals, rehab centers, skilled nursing facilities, or family members’ homes.
  • Provides extended pastoral care such as end-of-life planning and journeying, care conferences, and funeral/memorial planning.
  • Provides on-call availability.
  • Serves as resource to staff for residents’/participants’ spiritual health as part of whole-person care.
  • Provides care, instruction and support for staff regarding grief and similar matters.
  • Supports and advocates for Immanuel Community Foundation funds.
  • Coordinates with VP Mission/Spiritual care for community outreach, education, and relationship building for Immanuel.
  • Serves as point person for Mission- and Vision-related efforts, including new employee orientation and CHRIST Promises Awards.
  • Engages other Immanuel pastors with collegiality and mutual support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
