About The Position

Talan is seeking a talented Application Support Engineer to join their team in NYC. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite per week and offers visa sponsorship for specific treaty-based U.S. work visas (TN and E-2). The ideal candidate will have knowledge in FX and eTrading environments and a passion for working in Front Office teams, particularly those who enjoy the fast pace of solving real-time problems for traders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, CS, or similar.
Experience supporting Front Office trading applications, ideally Orchestrade.
Good understanding of FX and eTrading, with some exposure to IRD.
Proficiency in Unix/Linux, SQL, and Windows.
Ability to communicate directly with traders and translate their needs into actionable technical tasks.

Experience in Trading environments and solving real problems for traders in real time.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day trade support to traders, MO, BO, and risk teams across Orchestrade and IRD.
Troubleshoot critical desk issues quickly, fix trade capture and event processing problems, and maintain clean positions, P&L, and risk in the systems.
Partner with global Tech and Ops teams on strategic projects, contributing the business view, testing new rollouts, and advocating for process improvements.
Run reconciliations across systems during upgrades and ensure solid connectivity for the desks.
Manage platform administration in relation to system providers, both internal and external.
