General Duties: Aleut is in search of a highly motivated individual to instruct, develop, validate, and maintain orbital warfare (OW) course material at the 537th Training Squadron, Peterson SFB CO in support of the USSF Officer Training Course (OTC).

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge with orbital mechanics, orbit determination and analysis, maneuver planning, Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO), orbital engagement maneuvers, and space surveillance operations
  • Possess expert knowledge of capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities of US and foreign space systems
  • Possess working knowledge of and experience with operational level command and control
  • Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or similar joint instructor course preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, qualify on, and deliver in-residence OW course materials consistent with the principles of Instructional Systems Design (ISD), and aligned to 537 TRS instructions, security classification guides, and other guidance as identified in lesson plans
  • Interface with internal and external orbital warfare and analysis agencies as required to maintain a state-of-the-art training program
  • Coordinate instructional activities with the Contract Task Lead, and government supervisory personnel
  • Additional duties –as assigned
