About The Position

KBR is hiring skilled and motivated candidates to join our Orbital Warfare team at Schriever SFB supporting Space Delta 9. An active TS/SCI with SAP eligibility is required. This position involves supporting space operations training by building, coordinating, and maintaining training products, managing training records, developing new scenarios and simulations, auditing curriculum, managing the strategic training environment plan, and supporting engagements with various entities. The role also includes tracking and coordinating remedies for simulator and trainer deficiencies, as well as workstation and trainer issues.

Requirements

  • An active TS/SCI with SAP eligibility is required to be considered for this position, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • 3+ years of experience with space operations and training experience with orbital warfare fundamentals.
  • B.S. in related field. Additional education and/or certifications in lieu of experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Support space operations training by building, coordinating, and maintaining training products including lesson plans, Annual Plan of Instruction (APOI), Master Task List, Initial plan of Instruction (IPOI), presentations, tests, and scripts to support all space operations positions Initial Qualification Training (IQT), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Advanced Training (AT), Orbital Defense Initiation Course (ODIN), Instructor Qualification Course (IQC), and Continuation and Currency Training (CT2) and provide instruction for IQC, ODIN, and AT.
  • Support training records maintenance for all Delta 9 members and training programs on the system of record, to include documenting completed training and administrative functions for the system of record. (System such as Patriot Excalibur (PEX), Training Business Area (TBA), Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP), Work Center Job Qualification Standard (WJQS)
  • Develop and update new scenarios and mission simulations for IQT, MQT, AT, CT2 & ODIN.
  • Audit and review curriculum to ensure compliance with Instructional system design (ISD) for all tasks outlined on the APOI and IPOI. As part of the curriculum audit, the Contractor shall coordinate with instructors to identify any updates required for all curricula.
  • Manage Delta 9 Strategic Training Environment plan (i.e., trainer, classroom, SST.). This includes articulating Delta 9 long-term training vision into both a vision document (white paper) and phased actions on a Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Present Delta 9 Strategic Training Environment Plan to MA leadership.
  • Support Delta 9 training environment vision, needs, with equities and other Deltas, SpOC, STARCOM, and USSF engagements. Includes attending meetings, telecons, and TDYs to ensure accurate representation of Delta 9 training environment requirements as required by the Mission Assurance Director.
  • Coordinate with SME to gather simulator and trainer deficiencies in design and develop/coordinate future actions to remedy deficiencies.
  • Track current simulator/trainer hardware/software (correctable) deficiencies and coordinate with required entities to prioritize, track, and confirm remedies are executed as required by mission. Tracking shall be documented in the trainer assessment tool.
  • Identify, document, and track workstation and trainer issues in all 9 CTS environments to include design, installation/integration, modification, and disposition; setting up, and replacement of computer hardware peripherals.
